We are hiring a Post Doctoral Scholar!
The Center for Psychedelic Drug Research and Education at The Ohio State University invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Scholar to join our interdisciplinary research team. CPDRE is dedicated to advancing rigorous scientific inquiry, clinical investigation, and responsible education in the field of psychedelic science.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will collaborate with the Center Director and Associate Director to plan, design, and execute research that contributes to an evolving evidence base on psychedelic medicine. The role integrates clinical and research components, encompassing participation in externally funded clinical trials and non-clinical studies examining therapeutic applications and mechanisms of action of psychedelic-assisted interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and contribute to research activities, including study design, participant recruitment, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and dissemination of findings.
• Engage in clinical assessment and intervention in the context of ongoing clinical trials.
• Supervise research assistants and support staff, and contribute to scholarly output including conference presentations and peer-reviewed publications.
• Support the formulation and development of new research projects and grant proposals.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree (M.D., Ph.D.) in medicine, psychiatry, psychology, or a related field.
Licensed (or license eligible) to practice medicine in Ohio, with residency training in psychiatry (completed residency or plan to complete by position start date)
At least 1 year of clinical experience
At least 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic assessment of common mental health disorders and their comorbidities
